Tides Canada Foundation is a national public foundation dedicated to helping donors invest wisely in innovative charitable initiatives focused on environmental and social justice issues.
Partnering with Tides Canada allows SHLF to focus our efforts on fundraising and grant-making immediately while benefiting from partnering with one of Canada’s most well-established and reputable charitable organizations. Besides taking care of grant-making, fund management, financial and legal administration, Tides offers services and counsel designed to provide the support we need to build an effective strategy to reach our giving goals and affect real, lasting change.
The Strachan Hartley Legacy Foundation is a fund at Tides Canada Foundation. As a registered public foundation, Tides Canada can receive and provide charitable tax receipts for gifts to the Strachan Hartley Legacy Foundation Fund from individuals and institutions and direct them towards our cause.
Tides Canada will provide charitable tax receipts for donations greater than $50 received via cash/cheque, public and private shares, real estate, insurance, art etc. from Canadian donors within 4-6 weeks. Gifts of less than $50 should be donated online in order to receive a charitable tax receipt.
US donors wishing to contribute can do so by forwarding a gift to Tides Foundation recommended to the Tides Canada Exchange Fund (#1481) for your Cross-Border Service, providing a request that Tides Foundation make a grant recommendation to Tides Canada Foundation - Strachan Hartley Legacy Foundation Fund, Registration # 868947797RR0001 in Vancouver.
