With more than 400 participants, brilliant weather and over $18,000
raised to provide youth with opportunities to achieve their full
potential through sports and education, the 4th Annual Run was a true
testament to a community dedicated to Making a Difference.
At 7am on June 27, 2010 all ten climbers successfully reached Africa’s highest peak - Uhuru Peak at 5,895 meters above sea level! More importantly, their efforts raised $80,000.
Canadian speed skater Clara Hughes celebrated her sixth Olympic
medal (both summer and winter) by donating her prize money to SHLF
partner Take a Hike.
