Join us at the 17TH ANNUAL FALL RUN

Since 2007, the SHLF Run has been organised 100% by volunteers and raised over $520,000 with all proceeds being directed to helping youth achieve their full potential through sports and education. All proceeds go to the incredible Streetfront program. Join us by running a challenging 10km course, a stroller and kid-friendly 5km, or the Kids Fun race. We truly have something for everyone. Bring a friend or build a team for our Team Challenge.

Youth Can Run Program

In keeping with SHLF’s vision and mission to support youth,we are pleased to continue the Youth Can Run Program. We offer FREE REGISTRATION to any and all youth that would like to participate, but that may not have the means, families included. Please email the race director, Aimee-Noel Hartley, for the coupon code – no questions asked. Available for youth registrants under 19 years of age. This code is also valid for any family/team registrant to the age of 19 that wants to run.

Individual and Team Fundraising

Fundraising is not required to participate but is encouraged and appreciated. As our keystone annual event, we rely on the Run to raise enough funds to support Streetfront Alternative  to achieve their goals.

Since 2009, SHLF has been able to provide Streetfront with an operating budget that has allowed them to spend 35 school days a year doing outdoor adventures and helping hundreds of at-risk youth finish marathons.

Please consider starting an Individual or Team Fundraising page as part of your registration. Once your registration is complete, you’ll have your very own personal fundraising page, should you wish to become a fundraiser.

Run donations and fundraising pages are made via the Strachan Hartley Legacy Fund at MakeWay. Strachan Hartley Legacy Foundation Fund at MakeWay supports qualified donees. All gifts to the Strachan Hartley Legacy Foundation Fund at MakeWay are subject to the requirements of the Income Tax Act. Gifts of $10 or more to the Fund will receive a charitable tax receipt. MakeWay is a public foundation that is dedicated to social and environmental issues.

Calling all Volunteers!

The SHLF Run is 100% volunteer organized. We could not do it without the raft of volunteers who so generously donate their time leading up to, and on race day. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Race Director Aimee-Noel Hartley.

Opportunities are open in marshalling, registration, set-up, clean-up, bike leads and sweeps, traffic control, and Race promoters/ambassadors.

Run Supporters

Thank you to our Sponsors and Community Partners for making all of this possible. Below is a phenomenal example of local organizations giving back.
